Although your fuels list shows a difference between red fir and Douglas fir, I can locate no description of the trees themselves that is different. I live in west-central Idaho and am interested in any identifying characteristics in the trees or wood that would help me to know which I’m getting when I purchase firewood and or look to take down trees in the forest.
